![]() maeve herself wasn’t an awful character. I wonder if he liked the idea of keeping her hidden, perhaps it granted him a sense of control he hadn’t felt before? hell, he only told the team he had a girlfriend because she was missing. someone that was his that no one else had to know about. although I do wonder if Spencer very deliberately didn’t look into it. he could’ve easily done so, and then dealt with the consequences when he told her “hey, I know you told me not to but I figured out who you’re stalker is, you’re safe now” it seems silly that he didn’t even attempt to figure it out without her knowing. in Zugzwang, they figured out who her stalker was within hours he’s faced worse in the field before than psycho stalkers I can understand she didn’t want him to get hurt but come on I mean her boyfriend worked in the fbi, and she didn’t think he could fix her stalker problem? though there are a lot of holes in the plot they were on the same level intellectually, and it was nice as an audience to watch how smiley and flustered he got when he spoke to her, as we’ve never really seen much of that before. I think maeve and Spencer were a good match. i prefer to think he ended up with max, despite her lack of appearance in the finale (but that’s a whole other rant) but they weren’t the best, by any means she was probably what reid would call his one true love. ![]() Spencer was in love with the fantasy of a future with maeve that he’d created Lets kick this off with my first point: A/N : another ramble that no one asked for! i just a lot of thoughts that i have to get out somehow so enjoy this mess :)
